Memory limit don´t work

In my workstation 32GB RAM is installed. In Rebelle I set the maximum usage of RAM to 22GB. After opening a new file Rebelle is using all free RAM availible on my PC - not infrequently more than 29 GB

Please help.

thanks for reaching out! What file were you trying to open: a plain new file or an existing one?
What was the resolution of the file?

Please note that the limit of maximum memory used only influences the number of undo steps and does not have a direct influence on the size of the canvas. In other words, no matter how high you set the limit for max memory in Rebelle, Rebelle stills uses all RAM it can find to create a file / open an existing one.
