This would be similar to Color History. I would love for it to include as many properties as possible in each history entry. For example, if you were using a flat filbert oil brush of size 50 and then started using the same brush with different size, loading , opacity, etc a new history entry would be created. Being able to save the history list would be useful.

Painter has a Recent Brushes panel, although it only stores the brush type.

Also the ability to save the brush history (or brushes used) with the painting. Coming back to a painting after a few days, I have no clue which brushes I had used.

It occurs to me that the code to do this mostly already exists. A modification of the Favorite Brushes mechanism could save a set of brushes with all their properties and associate it with a particular painting or a particular work session.
