Hi @richr,

I admire your willpower to swtich from left to right, simply awesome! Stencils are incredibly powerful and allow for many cool effects in Rebelle. If you struggle with any particular feature after watching the forementioned tutorials, get back to this threat and I'll try to help.

best regards,

Here a few Infos about Stencils and Paths in Rebelle

Stencils
Stencils are simple Black/White ore Greyscale PNGs.

Apart from using PNGs, you could convert a Selection
into a Stencil and a Stencil into a Selection.

Convert a Stencil in Selection offers a indirect way
to use the Transform Tools on them. To get a defined size
or deform them in Perspektive.

To do this:
Convert your Stencil in a Selection, transform that Selection
and convert that Selection back in a Stencil.

Btw you could also place Stencils upon each other, to get
a Stencil Vase with a Textur as an Example.

Paths in Rebelle is another way to do creative things

Paths are vector graphics SVGs Paths. The free Program
Inkscape is a way to create your own paths.

There are also a few online SVG Generators out there.
Do a Google Search with "SVG Generator"

Paths work like Rulers, almost any Brush in Rebelle
will work on a Path also the Water brush, Liquify
and Eraser brush.

Here a few Examples of mine.

Paths can be pretty wild, but a Brush will follow
every single Path.

but Inkscape can do this do)
