When the blending mode for a layer is set to "Color", any area it covers with semi transparency has this strange look to it. You can pull the opacity slider of the layer underneath to see the strange interaction as the layer becomes more and more transparent.

Hi @cDwF9xQ3,

Thanks for reporting this issue! We get incorrect results when testing the last four color blending modes - this will be fixed!

Hi, will this bug be fixed anytime soon? While it is possible to work around, I'd obviously prefer it to just work as expected.

Hi,

the issue has not been fixed yet, but it is on our list!

Just tested and confirmed that this is still a problem in Rebelle 6.

So here is what I found out:

This is a bug, but it can be avoided by simply adding a solid layer below all the other painted stuff.

  • This layer has to filled with solid white and layer opacity set to 100%.
  • If you want to see your delicate paper structure, too, change this layer to multiply – that's it.
Please have a look to the attatched pics.

Anyway, it would be nice to be fixed!

Left: Solid white layer below – looks good. Right: Solid white layer off – trash.

Maybe, this helps!

Yes, having a solid layer underneath is the workaround I hinted at in an earlier post, but it is nice of you to show how to do it for others who may be encountering the same problem. With Rebelle 6, you can also use the clipping mask on the color layer and not have the visual bug appear.

Good to know, thank you very much!

This bug is still not fixed on the latest version (7.2.7).
