Is there a way to export an image and keep the background transparent, then open the image in another app with the transparent background intact.

In Rebelle 7 Pro, you can export an image with a transparent background by hiding the Canvas before saving. This way you save the image with a transparent background
To do this:

  1. Open the Image you want to save with a transparent background
  2. Locate the Canvas
  3. Click the Eye icon next to "Canvas" to hide it.
  4. Save your image in a format that supports transparency, such as PNG or PSD.

Once saved, you can open the image in another app, and the transparent background should remain intact.

Thanks, What I needed to do was to have a transparent layer beneath the layer I painted on. Otherwise, the app I opened it in would only see the one layer and I wouldn't be able to put in a background without painting around the image or cutting and pasting it into a new layer. It's all moot anyway because I can't export separate layers into the other app I'm using. Thanks anyway.

Hi @willhous ,

Layers in Rebelle are transparent by default so you just simply add an empty layer below the layer you painted on AND hide the canvas as Karen suggested. Save as PSD.
