Watercolor "erase"?

What's new
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't found a way to "erase" in a watercolor manner -- that is, to be able to paint with a sort of subtractive paint, so it removes color rather than adding it. What I have in mind would be like erasing with flow, or painting with bleach. Does Rebelle already have this sort of feature and I just haven't figured out how to do it? I know it doesn't exist with real-world media but it would be a useful tool in the simulation.

Hi @animatorgeek ,

You can try using the Eraser with "Keep layer wet" enabled, though it may not give you exactly the effect you're looking for. There are also the "Dry" and "Wet" tools, but the specific real-world effect you're aiming to replicate hasn’t been directly implemented in Rebelle yet.

I did end up finding a semi-solution. I created a new brush that draws with luminosity paint blending. So if I paint with white, if lightens whatever is already there. It isn't exactly like painting with blleach but I think it'll be good enough for my purposes. Anyway, please register my suggestion to have an erase mode in watercolor, so that the spreading "color" is really a color neutralizer.

+1
I've been dreaming about this since the third version (as well as about the color jittler :)
