Interview with Artist: Aron Visuals

A- | A+

Those, interested in photo manipulation might know the work of Aron Visuals. This young and talented digital artist from North Macedonia is making his way in the creative world with the stories of imagination and dreams. Each photo edit has a deep thought behind and attracts thousands of eyes. We asked Aron a few questions about his life, work, and experience with Flame Painter.

Could you please introduce yourself to our audience?

Hey guys, Aron Visuals here, a digital artist from North Macedonia. I would describe my style as a surreal digital art, where you can see real things together with unreal, and that's something that allows me to do everything that I imagine without any limitation.
I love to create mostly night scenes with stories from my imagination and dreams. When you look at my gallery I want you to escape from this world and enter my “Imaginarium”. Also, not everything is dark as it seems to be in our lives. Yes, dark and bad days are still part of our lives and we need to learn to control them, but you need to keep going and believing in better days. Every little light and magic in my artworks represents a hope that you should never lose.

How did you start with photo manipulation and what brought you to it?

I remember that sometimes during 2012, I created a few artworks in PhotoScape, sadly I don't have them anymore to show you, but I remember it very well. Then in 2014, I opened Photoshop for the first time and I said ''Nah, this is very hard for me, no way'' and just closed it. Later in 2018, something deep inside me kept saying I have to try again and don't give up so easily this time. If you would ask me then, I would never imagine any of what followed after making my decision to reopen Photoshop.

Looking back, art entered my life when I was very young. I think my first artsy attempts were pretty good drawings and stories while in school. I was participating in a lot of competitions during that time but I always felt: yeah, it’s an amazing thing but somehow something was missing. Later, I pushed myself further to become a photographer because I truly loved capturing nature and people’s emotions, creating things, and stories in real life.

With time, I felt again that I wanted more until I became a digital artist 3 years ago. I still feel the same as when I started, I am full of passion and love for my creative work, and that it is just a beginning. I have a lot to show and to create but I am very thankful for what I have already gone through and accomplished being in the creative world my whole life.

People know you as an artist featured by Photoshop, however, what role does Flame Painter play in your art-making?

I prefer to be known as a digital artist instead of a "Photoshop Artist" because it's just a program I use.

Flame Painter is amazing and I never saw something like that before. I was so excited to start on it and forever thankful for having it because without this software my "Soul Enlightenment" artwork would have probably never come to life. I created other art using Flame Painter even earlier and I was totally amazed, and I am excited about the future too! I truly recommend this to all people to create more magic!

Can you walk us through your creative process?

For me, it all starts from getting ideas and then writing them down just as a reminder. Sometimes I sketch, but it depends because – before finishing the artwork – a lot of things will change and only the main idea remains. As someone who is a perfectionist (and it depends on the stock picture), I spend a lot of time searching, then trying stuff I really like.
But the most amazing thing for me, that happens very often, is when I just don’t think at all, I sit down, open Photoshop, get some stocks or what I already have, and just start creating. It’s going like a wave and the artworks created this way are the most special to me because my soul speaks loudly through them.

My biggest inspiration is definitely music, the specific genre – symphonic metal and rock. This is the most beautiful thing on Earth for me, and it’s very hard to create or imagine something without music. I feel connected with each part and melody while I am creating or thinking about what to create. Also, I feel inspired daily by a lot of real stories from people or things happening around us. Sometimes I can finish the artwork in 1 or 2 hours, sometimes days or weeks, it truly depends.

You are not only selling your prints but we can find hoodies, blankets, and other merchandise showcasing your work. How do you feel when you see someone on the street wearing your art piece? Do you find many people interested in your merchandise?

One of my biggest dreams was to have my artworks printed fully on different products and I still can't believe that I had that for over a year now, being an artist at the incredible Hoodie Lab team. Since I can follow everything there, I can see there is a lot of people who purchased my art and wearing it. I would never imagine someone wearing my artwork before. What a dream come true!
Doing this on my own was very hard and having the team’s support is wonderful. So far, I didn't meet anyone on the street wearing my art piece, but I believe that I would be very happy and would come to say thanks to that person! I'm very thankful to all people that support my work and journey in different ways.

The Dream is Still Alive, 2021

Recently, you have reached 50K followers on Instagram and your audience is still rapidly growing. What advice would you give to artists who are just starting with building their portfolio on social media? What should they focus on?

The advice I would give is to focus only on the work and creative process instead of numbers, most important thing is to be opened to learn new stuff and to practice every day. Sharing everything on social media and creating a portfolio will help you a lot, especially for reaching new clients one day. My other advice would be to be supportive there, unique and different than others, and yourself at the same time. With time, you will probably discover your style. The most important is to remain truly connected to it, full of passion and love.

Thank you Aron for taking the time to introduce your passion and show us your creative process. We wish you best of luck with your future endevours! May more of your art dreams come true.
