Confirm 'delete layer' before deleting?

Is there a setting to have a dialogue box appear when deleting a layer to confirm I actually wanted to delete it? I've twice now had layers get accidentally deleted, and it's very frustrating to have my work just vanish. I think it's happening because I'm using a touchscreen and it's too easy to accidentally bump the delete layer button, so I would really appreciate having it double check before deleting my work. Since I didn't intend to delete the layers, I didn't notice they were gone until it was too late to undo.

Hi [USER=68194]@Milesofheart[/USER], thank you for the idea. We will consider. Just to make sure you know about it - you can Undo the deletion of the layer with the Undo button or Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on macOS) shortcut.

On Rebelle 3, the delete layer button was next to 'show visual settings' button, instead of the new layer button. If you could put the button where it was used to be, then this accidental deletions will not happen so often.

I agree with the author. I also deleted important layers several times and didn't notice it. I thought I was clicking "new layer" Add a "like" button in the forum ("agree") please.
