Maybe my expectations are wrong. I have a custom pencil I've tweaked for sketching. I want it to NOT recognize tilt while sketching, but to recognize tilt when I start shading. I've tried the default setting for [Enable/Disable Tilt]; no go. I've tried a couple of single key bindings; neither work. My pencil is set to recognize tilt. I expect toggling [Enable/Disable Tilt] to make it act like a non-tilt pencil until I reenable. That isn't what happens. Tilt continues to be recognized by this pencil preset no matter what I do short of setting [Tip Tilt] to zero via Brush Creator

Hi [USER=72899]@BobFF[/USER], the tilt functionality for shading is the "Tip Tilt" in the Brush Creator panel. When set to 0, you should not be able to shade with the pencil. I will try to put together a video. In the mean time, here are steps to reproduce: 1. Select a pencil/preset with a non-zero Tip Tilt setting 2. Make marks, verifying that the tilt feature is functioning 3. Press Alt-T (Default for Enable/Disable Tilt) 4. Make more marks tilting the pen/stylus Note that the marks are still wider when the pen/stylus is tilted while making marks. My goal is to use a single pencil preset for sketching, disabling Tilt via a shortcut when desired. I currently have two otherwise identical pencil presets, one of which has Tip Tilt set to zero. This enables me to switch presets to switch Tilt by selecting a different pencil preset. This works fine, but requires me to make any other preset changes (via Brush Creator) to both of these presets in order to keep them in sync.

Oops! I just had a light bulb moment. Please disregard this topic. I just realized [Enable/Disable Tilt] is for canvas tilt, not for the brush/pencil. I'll submit a Feature Request for a way to turn brush tilt on/off without changing the preset value in Brush Creator

Hi [USER=72899]@BobFF[/USER], I am sorry for the confusion. Yes, the Tilt panel is for canvas tilt, it has nothing to do with the brush tilt. The option for tilting the brush for shading is, as previously mentioned, only "Tip Tilt" in the Brush Creator. From what I understood, a shortcut for turning this option on and off would help, is that correct? We can definitely consider adding such shortcut in the future.

Yes, Veronika, on/off for Tip Tilt would be very helpful. Just make sure it leaves the current value remains intact for when it is toggled back on :)
