Please, please, please consider more flexibility when using the transform tool. 1) When selecting an area on a layer to be transformed, a feathering option is much-needed. 2) Transforming, cutting, copying, and pasting a selection of [i]part of a layer[/i] currently sends the selection to a new layer. There are no other options. 3) There are times when I prefer doing these actions and remaining on the same layer for a number of reasons. 4) Please enable layer options when transforming selections.

We will for sure improve working with layers in the future versions.
