Photoshop plug-in for M1

I was able to successfully install it in PS. But I can't find the panel to engage it.
When I try it from Rebelle I get an error saying that photoshop is not running, or does not have the extension.

Do you see "Escape Motions Connect" under legacy Extensions? Is it checked? (Not sure if that matters or not.)

I have same problem. I have installed Rebelle 5 Pro fine and it is working except I've not seen any script to install in Adobe. Where can I download this script please?
I already started my own topic on this subject, now just seen this one exists. Grateful for advice.

I have finally located an email with a link to my page to download the script. So problem solved.

Looks like you're running Photoshop on a Mac. I'm assuming a newer M1 processor? This may be the issue based on the following:

Based on this answer it should work:
"You can still use the older extensions in emulation mode if needed. However, you would need to install the extension while running in Rosetta emulation mode on devices with Apple Silicon M1 processors."

Peter,
I am not sure how serious to take you.
Are you saying that in order to use the plugin I need to run PS in emulation mode? Or is this just a short term solution?

Rebelle does not run natively on M1, only in Rosetta emulation. PS plugin works with older PS on M1, but in the recent version they cut off classic Extensions. From the comment on the Adobe forum, it looks like the user has to install the extension in emulation mode. We don't know at this moment if we have to develop Rebelle for M1, or to re-write a plugin to UXP would be enough. This is definitely a temporary solution.

I use Photoshop CC 2015. After installing the Plugin this is what I see:

There is any button PS ->RB, only a couple of gray strips....
If I go to Rebelle and try to export a file, I have this error:
It seems that Photoshop or Escape Motions Connect is not running.
Ensure that Photoshop is running on your system
and Escape Motions Connect plug-in is installed and running in Photoshop.
My Mac has Mojave 10.14.6
Any solution??

Does this mean that a native M1/Apple Silicon version of the software is not currently in development? I think ideally, those of us on macs would prefer this run native eventually because that's going to perform best, although I understand if the transition takes some time.

Developing Rebelle for M1 is more complicated than to re-write a plugin for PS, we have to find out what is necessary to fix the problem with the latest PS plugin. But we definitely have a plan to run Rebelle natively on M1 and expect a even better performance.

Hi @Plasticpaddy,
We are unable to reproduce this. Does your mac use M1 chip?
Please test both issues again in the latest Rebelle 5.0.4 release which you can download from your Community account - after you log in, go to your account and click the "Purchases" tab. We've also released an updated plug-in (uninstall the previous one from PS):

The compatibility of the plug-in with macs with M1 chips is still being investigated.

Escape Motions Connect - Photoshop plug-in on M1 chips update:
Unfortunately, for some reason, Photoshop does not contain the Extensions folder on M1 chips anymore. We're trying to solve this situation so that the plugin can be used on M1 macs too, but it is quite a hard task.
If you run the software under Rosetta 2 (both Rebelle and Photoshop), you should be able to use the plugin. Here's how you run Photoshop under Rosetta:

Otherwise, you can use the copy & paste system - copy a layer from one software and paste it to another and vice versa. For PS it should work well with transparency as well.

Hi @ameliasarigu,
Could you please try the following?
1. Run Rebelle, don't paint anything yet, just turn off NanoPixel
2. Run Photoshop, and create a new file 2000 x 1500 px
3. In Photoshop: create a new layer, paint a few strokes and click on the "PS -> RB" button. Was the layer transferred to Rebelle correctly? If so, the canvas in Rebelle should have the same size as the one in Photoshop.
4. In Rebelle: create a new layer, paint a few watercolor strokes and click on the "Main Menu -> Layer -> Export to Photoshop". Was the layer transferred to Photoshop correctly?
If this works well, please try it again with NanoPixel switched on in Rebelle. Does it work correctly? Then you can try with a larger canvas size (the transfer time may increase significantly).

Grazie VeroniKa, ho fatto come hai detto e si, funziona. Ma il messaggio di errore quando passo da PS a Rebelle mi compare lo stesso: io metto "ok" e continuo.
Ma non capisco come mai mi compare quel messaggio.

Hi ameliasarigu,
there might be issues with larger files, just ignore the message when it pops up for the time being. We will look into it.

Rebelle 7 runs on my M3 Max Sonoma but the EMC plug in does not appear anywhere even when Photoshop says it was installed. That means the EMC code is likely not updated. Even the Read Me file refers to Photoshop interface paradigm from years ago.

Hello @imran,
On Macs with Apple Silicon, Photoshop needs to run in Rosetta mode to reveal the Extensions option under the Window menu, where our plugin is installed. Unfortunately, for some reason, Photoshop does not contain the Extensions folder on M chips anymore. We're trying to solve this situation so that the plugin can be used on M-based Macs too, but it is quite a hard task.
Here's how to run Photoshop under Rosetta:
