Rebelle 5.0.9 crashes again

I love this program but since I've upgraded to Rebelle 5 PRO I have to spend more time with getting it to work than painting. With every update it get's worse...now I can't even change the canvas. Rebelle crashes every time I want to start a new paint.
I'm really disappointed! No matter what settings I'm using this is only frustrating. First the strokes are lagging and now the next issue.
When I'm buying a Pro version I want a Pro version and not a beta version that has to be fixed every week caused by new issues. Don't get me wrong, I really love your unique programs( Flame Painter and Amberlight too ) but I don't want to waste my time to visit forums to fix one issue after another.
I've tried really everything...with no conclusion...I'm an artist and not a beta tester. It's really annoying to do an update nearly every week fixing one issue and producing another one. Would be better to call this version "Early Access" without guaranty.

To be mentioned:
I've also tried all drivers for my tablets-updatet Nvidia drivers....no satisfying result.
And the huion tablets are not an unknown hardware they should work with Rebelle 5 Pro without issues

Hi kreativegeist, I sympathize with your situation. I too am an artist using this software to do my daily work. I am also with you that this software is so very good when it is working right. I recently updated (silly me) during a crunch time session on a project. I updated Rebelle to 5.0.7 or 5.0.8 (I don't recall which). That made it so that every *.reb file I opened crashed the software immediately. Dissapointing to be sure. I merely rolled back to 5.0.6 and kept on working, trusting that the escape motions team will knock it out. Sometimes the balance a small team of developers must find, can be very difficult, especially when serving a stage of users the size of the world itself. ;-)
The important idea that I try to keep in mind is that when I construct my response to problematic software, I consider the kind of team responsible. If it is Adobe, I'm likely to get kind of grumpy building to angry, because I constantly pay Adobe, a giant corporation, premium payments to use their software. If something happens with Rebelle or my other favorite Art Rage, my response will be tempered by the fact that in both of those cases, I have access to actual people, in a far more direct way than trying to relate to Adobe.

I just updated to 5.1 and it still crashing on my windows 10. This has been happening since the last two updated. I sent a troubleshoot email which is why I updated the first time. I can't use Rebelle at all anymore.

Do you need to kill Rebelle process, or does it crash in its own? If it crashes, do you see a crash report window with "Send to Developers" button? If yes, please send us a few reports this way.
In case you have to kill the process, please follow the steps below:
1. Download this archive: [URL]https://www.escapemotions.com/products/rebelle/download/Rebelle_freeze_analyzer_Windows_64bit.zip[/URL] and unpack it on your disk.
2. Reproduce the issue - when it freezes, just run the 'backtrace_attach.bat' from the unpacked folder. You can run the bat file several times (5 should be enough).
It generates a new 'backtrace.out' file, which you can send us by email to [url=mailto:
[email protected]]
[email protected][/url].
Also, please send us your full system specifications.

Hello,
I'm using Rebelle 5.1.1 and just added the Wacom Intuos Pro Medium graphics tablet and now Rebelle 5 has started crashing. It never did this before upgrading to the new Wacom tablet.
Any suggestions?

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing crashes with Rebelle. Please try to go to Rebelle's [i]Edit menu > Preferences > Tablet[/i] - what's selected under the [i]Tablet Options[/i]?
Please try to set the [i]Wacom (Wintab) [/i]and click OK to confirm. Restart Rebelle. Do you still experience the crashes?

I find that using the mixer palette makes the app crash. I closed it and so far it's holding up.

What was the solution for this?
In my case, I'm on on IMAC 27" Late 2013, running Catalina 10.15.7 ... I installed an recent update for sotware (Rebelle 5 Pro) and now, every time I use an eraser, the software just shuts down - loosing all my work in the process every time.It's happened over 10 times in a row now within the last hour .. I'm seriously regretting my purchase now ... any help would be appreciated ... I came to Rebelle with the thoughts that it was a lot simplier, had more features, and leveraged software that I was willing to try ... but now .. I'm starting to regret this because I'm loosing time and work and missing deadlines ... :(

I'm plagued with constant crashes since I updated my ATI drivers to the latest revision. Every 3-5 minutes after I launch the program it just crashes to desktop, it doesn't state an error. Other than the driver update I don't know of anything else that would cause this sort of issue.

Wacom Intuos pro Medium. This is literally the only program that I have this issue with. No other imaging software crashes every 5 minutes after startup.

Can you please try to download [b]the newest Wacom driver 6.4.2-3[/b] to see whether you are still having the same problem?
Some users in the past were having issues with the older Wacom drivers and we're wondering if this is the case too.
Has updating the driver helped?
