I followed the instructions - How to trace an existing or imported image - in the Manual for Ver 3.1. But is unable to see any results in the Influenced Layer. I dont understand this sentence in the Manual - "If color tracing isn't selected you can paint with other colors. Deselect tracing layer from Menu -> Layer -> Tracing Layer. " I cant see "color tracing in the Layer Option. How do I activate Color Tracing? I had created a Color Set from the image that I want to trace.O Appreciate your help

Hi @plaucl, when you set a layer with an imported image as a 'Tracing layer' (from Rebelle's Menu -> Layer -> Tracing Layer), then add a new layer which you set as 'Influenced layer' (rom Rebelle's Menu -> Layer -> Influenced Layer), the influenced layer will pick up colors from the Tracing layer while you paint. If this is not working in your case, please send us screenshot of your UI with both Influenced layer and Tracing layer setup.

Hi @Plaucl, it looks like you had a Permanent brush selected in Watercolor tool: [img]https://www.escapemotions.com/community/uploads/posts/2018/09/Screenshot 2018-09-26 at 14.24.02.png[/img] This is the reason why the color tracing did not work. Make sure you use the Normal brush mode in order to trace the colors correctly.

I am using Rebelle 7 Pro 7.06, and Tracing Layer does not work because Influence Icon does not show. I added other layers before Tracing layer and also turning it off and on. Just FYI, I reinstalled Rebelle 7 Pro and same issue happens. (from Rebelle's Menu -> Layer -> Influenced Layer) - this option is not present

Hi HStewart4, We have removed the Influenced layer function from Rebelle. Now both the Tracing and Masking layers influence all layers. You can also create a group of layers and turn one of them into a Tracing (or Masking layer) - in a group, this layer will influence all layers within this group.

you need to show the tasks as your explanation does not make sense to th uninitiated. I can't get tracing to work. and once it did but the it stopped and I can't figure out the tracing which is supposed to ber easy. Martin

Hi martfine, Here are two examples of how you can use tracing: [b]EXAMPLE 1:[/b] Import a photo which you'd like to trace ('Layer 1') Set 'Layer 1' to Tracing Layer (hit "T" in the layers panel right above the layers stack) 'Layer 1' will be now acting as a tracing layer for all layers (in our example, for 'Layer 2') That means that when you paint on 'Layer 2', your brush will automatically pick colors from the tracing layer ('Layer 1'): [img]https://www.escapemotions.com/community/uploads/posts/2024/11/277/2024-11-08_12-11:04_Screenshot 2024-11-08 at 12.23.55.png[/img] [b]EXAMPLE 2:[/b] If you have multiple layers and some should be picking colors from the tracing layer automatically and others should not, place the tracing layer and the layers you'd like to trace on into a separate group: [img]https://www.escapemotions.com/community/uploads/posts/2024/11/277/2024-11-08_12-11:35_Screenshot 2024-11-08 at 12.24.30.png[/img] On the example above, 'Layer 1' is a tracing layer and 'Layer 2' will pick up the colors from the tracing layer automatically.
