Hi all, Perhaps this is an incredibly silly question, but I can't wrap my head around all the brush settings stuff, so please don't laugh ;-) I would like to do dot painting in Rebelle (I just upgraded to version 6). In real life this is done with thick acrylic paint, and it is put on the canvas with the flat end of sticks in varying sizes, or with ball tools. This gives a slightly raised circle on the canvas*. By using different colors and different sizes, one can reach interesting designs. I have attached an example (not my work). I think the technique is an adaptation of the dotting techniques used in Aboriginal art. Also, I would like to do pointillism painting, which too requires placing small single dots. Anyway, I have not been able to replicate this effect in Rebelle. I have been trying to use round brushes in Oil and Acrylic, but brushes only seem to leave paint when you move them, but I just want the simple circle. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks so much in advance! *The raised effect is welcome, but not actually necessary. So if there is a way to place single circles but without the 3D effect, I'd already be very grateful.
