Is there a plan to introduce an iPad version?

There is currently no similar drawing software available on the iPad. Please consider developing a portable version that can also expand its utility in various contexts. Although I already have the desktop version, I don't mind spending money to purchase it again.

I too am eagerly awaiting an iPad version. And I'd gladly pay for it again. Rebelle is unique, and to have it on the iPad would be amazing

I cant believe we have not heard anything about this topic from Escape motions. I create on my ipad all the time everyday on other Apps in their inferior versions of watercolour and I keep thinking why am I not able to paint with Rebelle on my ipad.
Wacoms are static as thus not very useful. I dont bother wasting my time on rebelle anymore because it can only be used at home, where I want to rest, not in the office where I actually need the app / tablet to create and visualise.
Hurry up!,
Whats the hold up???

I too would really appreciate an iPad IOS version of Rebelle. I would even be happy(ish) to pay a subscription, although I would rather it was priced like the Mac version. I would also be very into beta testing any version of an iPad Rebelle

It will be very nice an iPad version.
Not only for painting on the go, which will be also very nice. But also for the comfort. I can paint very well with tablets on the desktop. But for drawing it's very hard for me. iPad it's much more comfortable, and this is what i use when i need to do complex drawings.
It will be very nice to use Rebelle on iPad Pro, even if it's a Lite version.

Dont know how long its take for Rebelle on the iPad.
But there are already options for this.
Here is an old post of mine in which I described a way.

Why is it so quiet from Escape motions on this matter? Hello, is it in progress or not?

I'll add my voice to the chorus. I seem to recall a previous post where someone from Escape Motions said they were working on it. I hope that with version 7 they'll surprise us with an iPad version. Until then I am using Astropad at home. I do sketching only on the iPad with Adobe Fresco, then import the .psd into Rebelle. Full Rebelle on the iPad would finally allow me to plein air paint and dramatically simplify my workflow.

If you look at the rising numbers of watercolor channel viewers on YT it's pretty clear digital painters are becoming more interested in traditional methods. Rebelle on iPad would look so gorgeous I imagine it would go viral on shorts attracting the attention of a lot of people. Just hit the popular channel circuit. Those audiences love cool effects and Rebelle is the coolest. Pleeeeaaase can we have a tablet version ????????????

While I heartilly agree that an iPad version of Rebelle would be a wonderful thing to have, I want to interject a word of caution. I have witnessed the impact of splitting a small development across two platforms. There was a painting program that I enjoyed which ran on both Windows and Mac. When they finally gave in to pressure to get an iPad version out, desktop development halted almost completely. Very few updates to that which contained new features or improvements. I\'m not saying it would unfold the same way with escape motions, but it does cross my mind

Hi. I really would like to buy an iPad version. In my workflow I do not use a PC or Mac. Rebelle Pro on iPad would be awesome!

I agree, Rebelle should release for mobile devices. A lot of artists go back and forth between their PC / Mac and their mobile tablet / ipad.

@LilenArt, I agree, it should be released for mobile devices, not just for the iPad. Plenty of artists that don't use the iPad or anything Apple at all. I've used the Samsung Galaxy Tab S for years as my portable drawing tablet. Tried the iPad for a year and then quickly went back to the Samsung Tab S9. iPadOS just isn't for me, it's way too limited compared to Android and doesn't play well with Windows. I'm mainly using Clip Studio Paint these days and while I love Rebelle, not being able to switch devices is limiting. Rebelle is also still a memory hog and focussing on a mobile version might remedy that too.
I'm now creating a huge wall piece at high res and my laptop with 16Gb was freaking out in Rebelle, while in Clip Studio Paint it's only taking 2Gb of memory and I can even work on it on my Samsung Galaxy S9 FE with 8Gb of RAM.
I work from my pc (64Gb), but also often from my laptop in the evening and when I'm on location, I only have my tablet with me. Going from one to the other is just great, something I miss in Rebelle. Often I can go from my pc to laptop, due to artworks taking up so much memory. In Rebelle I always have to lower the size of the artwork (maximum A3) and use nanopixel export to make it work, while in Clip Studio Paint I can work in much higher sizes, easily A0 without running into trouble.
This may well be the problem we haven't seen a port to mobile yet. Rebelle has become more efficient over the years, but still loves resources.
@IndomitableManner, I did that for Procreate, used it for a year and after that I put the expensive iPad Pro 12.9" in a drawer and never touched it again. It's such a frustrating thing to use if you come from a Windows and Android environment. Everything is shielded off and it only works well in the Apple ecosystem, it doesn't play well with devices outside of the Apple ecosystem. You can't even simply sent a file to a pc with bluetooth from the iPad. Anyway, eventually I got so frustrated with the limitations that I stopped using it. Procreate is great, but the iPad just isn't my thing. After it had been in the drawer for 6 months I eventually gave it to my wife after her first gen Ipad Pro stopped working.

The iPad cannot handle an app like Rebelle 7, unless Apple starts selling one with a discreet graphics card. Rebelle is a RAM hungry app and rightfully so. It is also a CPU cycle beast. When Apple gets around to adding a discreet card, i.e. never, is when Rebelle will be ported to the iPad. HTH

Current ipad models with apple silicon chips are more than powerful enough to run Rebelle 7. The integrated GPU on the latest models are faster than many previously "powerful" desktop graphic cards.
I'm sure they know that making an iPad version will bring them a whole lot of money, but it needs time and money... I just hope they are already working to make it possible, because it's the safest plan to keep the business running in the future

Don't think the GPU matters that much to be honest, Rebelle 7 doesn't seem to utilize them at all. I've got an Nvidia RTX2060 (6Gb), Intel Arc A770 (16Gb) and also the Intel Iris Xe Graphics that came with the CPU. On paper it should run way better on the A770, but there's no difference with the RTX2060 and in real life Rebelle 7 runs best on the Intel Iris Xe Graphics. The RTX2060 and A770 both lag like crazy at times, while the Intel Iris Xe Graphics has no issues at all. Seems like the 2 GPU's are actually holding Rebelle back. As long as there aren't specific drivers for discreet GPU's, I don't think it matters much and Rebelle can't utilize them fully. I doubt Rebelle will have issues running on M based chip or even ARM based chips for that matter.

I had plans to buy a Mac Mini M4, to replace my crurrent Mini M1. It will finally arrive in few days :).
Before buying it, i tested if Rebelle Apple SIlicon binary is using much GPU. I noticed it isn't running at all for computational/AI tasks.
I purchased it because i got many money back with Trade In. If i waited for an M5 or M6, i will not get so many money. The base Mini M4 in Europe is 720€. The Trade In gives 220€ for the Mini M1. But, to be honest, M1 is more than enough to running Rebelle 7 Pro. So any iPad Pro/Air with M1 or higher will run it very well.

Escape Motions team had already said they were working on an iOS version in the past. Ever since the M1 chip came out and I felt it was powerful enough to handle Rebelle, I had suggested it, and they replied that they were looking into it. Then later they confirmed in the forums they were working on the iOS version. They probably haven't updated us on the progress because it's still quite a ways out.
One account,
many possibilities
