Please consider to do Rebelle for Android OS also. There are more and more powerful tablets like Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra even better than Ipad Pro and cheaper, or convertable chromebooks Like Acer Spin...

That has my vote too, I would really love that idea. These days there are powerful and affordable Android tablets available with good pen support. Lenovo has some great Android tablets with Pen support too.

Let me add one more thing this way, since there's not edit option in this forum. I know an iPad version is being worked on, which is cool. But as a Windows user, while I would like Rebelle on my iPad Pro M1, I'm not thrilled about it. The reason is that the iPad and Windows aren't working well together, especially if you don't use Apple Cloud. Since the iPad is my only Apple device and the rest is Windows and Android, connectivity is a nightmare. If the files are interchangeable between the iPad version and the PC/Mac version, it's going to be a challenge (or rather nightmare) to get it from the iPad to the PC. With Android this is a simple matter of connecting it to a Windows PC or use Bluetooth, but Apple has severely limited these options for not Apple users. It's all geared towards the Apple environment and other users have been left in the cold for a long time and Apple has no plans to change this. Since Android devices are very powerful these days and Android seems to be a lot closer to Windows and some others - like Clip Studio Paint and Krita have already proven that Android is a good plaform for creatives. Also lets not forget that while the M processor is very powerful on paper, the iPad versions are much more limited and the newer Android tablets don't have an issue surpassing the M1 and getting close to the M2 on the ipad - or perhaps already beyond it. My $1500+ iPad Pro is now laying unused for almost a year now. It's been replaced by an on paper inferior Lenovo tablet and a laptop with touch screen and large pen display that work well together and don't get in the way of my workflow. On paper the iPad Pro is great, practical it's not a great choice for a Windows user. I'll still be tempted to buy Rebelle for the iPad when it comes.... if I still own the iPad at that time.

Thank you. I mentioned chromebooks. The are more and more popular. They have the same specifications as PC with Windows but they are cheaper because Chrome Os is the Android version. Their source is not-paid Linux. I guess Rebelle and any other software from Android could work in Chrome OS without any problem? So there will be many opportunities.

In regards to the iPad not playing nicely with Windows and ruining workflow-- I work on files on both my Windows laptop and iPad air all of the time just by setting up a shared folder on my home network. As long as I have wifi, it's super easy. (This folder is also regularly backed up for extra peace of mind.) This is most relevant for work done in Affinity Suite, which does share the same file types across its PC, MacOS, and iPad applications. But I can save all sorts of files to that shared folder and access it from all devices at home. I imagine that when Rebelle is released for the iPad that it will have a similar approach. I hope so. It's been great to work on art with two screens and the full access of keyboard shortcuts when I feel well, but also have some productivity on the same files when I'm unwell on the couch.

"I work on files on both my Windows laptop and iPad air all of the time just by setting up a shared folder on my home network. As long as I have wifi, it's super easy. (This folder is also regularly backed up for extra peace of mind.)" Clip Studio Paint gives you a 10Gb cloud. I'm using it on my Tablet and PC. No need to setup or anything. I don't have a home network and don't want to set on up. I just want to connect my tablet to my pc and tranfer the files I want. Way faster that way. Of course, the iPad won't allow you to do that, so I got rid of my 12.9" iPad Pro 2021 and went back to Samsung. I'm getting tired of all the iPadOS restrictions. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 doesn't have these restrictions, since it's Android based. I connect it to my PC and transfer files I want to transfer back and forth. Samsung also has their own version of AirDrop. EscapeMotions should take a look at Clip Studio Paint on how to do this right. That's the only drawing app that let's me easily use it on PC, MAC, Ipad and Android. The Ipad and Android versions have a tablet mode, which is great. It let's you switch from the full version UI, to a tailored for tablets UI. Very clever. Anyway, still hoping for EscapeMotions to consider an Android version, Android tablets are becoming more and more serious and widespread devices. With iPad's becoming more and more expensive (especially the higher end versions), Android tablets with pen support are a good alternative. They only need some more serious painting applications, though now having both Krita and Clip Studio Paint is pretty awesom already... byt nothing beats using Rebelle!! (Well, perhaps real paint still does :-D )

Likewise, I'm a mere amature and loving the update to Rebelle 8 Pro but, like many mentioned above, I would love to be able to work between my PC and, when away from home, carry on with my efforts on my Android tablet. Please consider such an obvious addition to what has to be the best electronic art programme on the market. Thanks to the decision makers in advance for consideration of this additional benefit to those Rebelle users who also use the Android Operating System on their tablets.

One more vote for Rebelle on Android! Would love to see Rebelle on Android too. I have a ton of time to draw on commute on my Galaxy. So establishing a workflow where I can start during commute and finish on big screen would be great ?

another vote for Android. I have an XP-Pen Magic Drawing Pad which uses Android and would really like to be able to use Rebelle on it for when I am out and about where using a laptop is not practical

I totally agree. The Galaxy Tab in particular has a great stylus.

I have absolutely nothing against the idea of porting Rebelle to the iPad, Android, or Chromebook. But I wonder how well that would work, since Rebelle's natural media simulations already require a reasonably powerful PC. But of course, I'm happy to be proven wrong. I know that iPads and Samsung tablets are more powerful these days. Nevertheless, I'm skeptical. By the way, I own an older iPad and once connected it to my PC using the "EasyCanvas" app. Via a Lightning to USB cable. I was very happy with it. But I have to agree with the poster above; the data exchange between the iPad and PC ultimately turned me off so much that I gave up. Which seems to be in Apple's interest, to keep everything within their own ecosystem.

+1 on this. I just got an evaluation unit for the new XP Pen Magic Tab, a high-end Android device with a very good screen and stylus. It supports Clip Studio and a bunch of other painting and art apps, but it would be great to be able to take Rebelle on the go with it.

...so do I recently bought a very large and cheap tablet TCL NXTPAPER 14.3" 2.4K empowered by Android 14 and for now I've installed on it mobile program Artrage Vitae. In my opinion the best way to learn painting is to try it everywhere outdoor. As i watched happy holidays video from Escape Motion Team "Rebelle: exclusive interview with developers" maybe I will change the program soon:) Thank you!
Yes, but it's still a pain to make it portable (need to carry a connected laptop around). Having Rebelle on Android, even with a limited set of features, would be amazing. Even for brush engine alone! +1 from me!

Rebelle for Android is an impressive digital painting app that brings realistic watercolor, acrylic, and ink effects to mobile devices. The interface is intuitive and touch-friendly, making it easy for artists to create detailed artwork on the go. What sets it apart is its natural brush behavior and blending tools, which closely mimic traditional painting techniques. A great option for anyone looking to paint digitally on an Android tablet or phone.

I would like to +1 this - the Wacom 11" moveink is a compelling option for a portable painting device - it has a wonderful screen for drawing - a GREAT pen and is currently up to date in OS updates. It ALSO can be used as an external screen for the PC. This would make a killer combination - being able to make the painting on the tablet - with the great brush engine. BUT then being able to take it back into the studio and work on it with a more powerful machine (spare screen setup) or on a full size wacom tablet. I would certainly pay for the chance to be able to paint on my tablet like I can do on my PC. Please consider the possibility as there is so much potential for this set of tablets - let alone a marketing potential as Wacom are also bundling software with the device !
