Using Alt Key Color Picker Causes Brush to Freeze After Changing Size

Hello! This is an issue I've experienced in several versions of Rebelle on both Mac and PC, but I've finally pinned down exactly when the issue occurs. I'm hoping it will be easy to recreate for the Rebelle development team: While painting, if I increase or decrease the brush size with brackets and next use the alt key to pick a color from the canvas, the brush freezes and does not paint during my next brush stroke. The frozen brush bug is consistent and does not go away until I've hit ctrl/command Z, which seems to reset the brush. This issue only occurs if the alt key color picker is used directly after a change in brush size; if I change the brush size and then do anything else before using the alt key color picker, there is no problem. To recreate:

With any brush tool selected (with a tablet or the mouse), increase or decrease the brush size with the bracket keys
The next command must be be selecting a canvas color using the alt key; if any other command is performed before the alt color picker is used, the issue will not be recreated.
After a color is selected from the canvas, the next command must be attempting to paint with the brush; if any other command is performed directly after the previous step, the issue will not be created.
The brush cursor is frozen in place and no brush stroke appears
Once the pen is lifted or the mouse key released, a single paint dab is created
The issue will persist until a new command is performed (such as increasing the oiliness of the oil brush tool or water with the watercolor brushes), or the undo action is performed with ctrl/cmd+z.
I am constantly increasing/decreasing my brush size and immediately selecting a color with alt, so this issue is very frustrating for me. I'm hoping I've provided clear steps so your team can recreate the issue and find the bug! Thank you!

I can reproduce that on Windows (7) - but... > "The next command must be be selecting a canvas color using the alt key; if any other command is performed before the alt color picker is used, the issue will not be recreated." ... the trigger isn't just the sequence of actions, but also the timing. When using a keyboard shortcut for brush size, there's a delay of ca. 1 second before the red cursor overlay disappears. IF the colour-picking with alt happens within that time period, i.e. while the overlay is visible, the error occurs. If one waits until the overlay is gone, the bug doesn't show. So at first I thought it would be erratic, until I found out. And yes, it's the same in Rebelle 6. I never noticed because I always use shift-drag for resizing - no delay there, hence no problem.

Hey Dreamkeeper, I think our issues may be related but they don't sound the same. Timing does not matter for me. If I do everything as I described and wait 5 minutes, the brush cursor will still freeze.

Hi guys, We were able to reproduce the issue on our end so we will fix it to one of the next updates. Thanks sir_blirmp for the wonderful list of steps, this helped a lot! :)

This is fantastic news, and thank you to everyone at Escape Motions for listening and taking action! It's great to be able to report bugs and know that they will be looked into. I've posted many times in Adobe forums and some of their glitches exist for years with no reply. Very refreshing. Thanks again.

It does just that, when i dynamically change brush opacity with with 'O' and 'P' (decrease/increase) while painting. It comes back when i tap the CMD key. I am on a m1 mac.
