If Rebelle crashes, restart Rebelle or restart your computer.
If you still experience crashes, reset Rebelle’s settings to default, here's how:
1. Go to Rebelle's top menu: Help > Show Library folder...
2. Locate the Rebelle folder and rename it to any other name
3. Run Rebelle again, you will be asked to register
4. Rebelle opens with the default settings
If Rebelle keeps crashing even with the default settings:
On macOS, when a crash occurs, Rebelle closes itself and a system crash dialog pops up. Just copy the whole text (usually several pages) and send it to ]
On Windows, when a crash occurs, Rebelle closes itself and our custom crash report dialog pops up. Please, write there a short description of what happened before the crash and click on the "Send" button.
In some rare cases, the crash dialog doesn't pop up. Then, please follow these steps:
1. Download this zip archive for Rebelle and extract it somewhere on your disk:
For Rebelle 7: https://escapemotions.com/products/rebelle/download/Rebelle_7_crash_analyzer_Windows_64bit.zip
For Rebelle 6: https://escapemotions.com/products/rebelle/download/Rebelle_6_crash_analyzer_Windows_64bit.zip
For Rebelle 5: https://escapemotions.com/products/rebelle/download/Rebelle_5_crash_analyzer_Windows_64bit.zip
2. If you have Rebelle installed in the default path "C:\Program Files\Rebelle\Rebelle.exe", go to the step 3.
Otherwise, open the file "backtrace_run.bat" in a text editor. To edit the file, click on it with your right mouse button and choose "Edit" in the context menu:

...and change the path on line 4 of the "backtrace_run.bat" file to match your Rebelle path.
3. Run "backtrace_run.bat" which will open a new terminal window:

...and it will run Rebelle.
4. Try to crash Rebelle as before. Just make sure to wait for the terminal window till it closes itself.
5. You should see two new files "backtrace.out" and "out.log" which contain more info about the crash. Please, send us both files to ] and also include:
- Rebelle version (go to the Main Menu -> About Rebelle, you'll see the version in the upper right corner of the dialog), e.g. "Rebelle 7.0.0 Trial 64bit"
- a brief description of what you did just before the crash.
Thanks for all your help with tracking down these bugs!
