White Screen When Select Brush

I have a Dell Latitude 7490, 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD, 16 GB DDR4 laptop. I am now using Rebelle 5 Pro and use an XP-Pen Deco Fun L drawing tablet with pen. Nearly every time I select a brush the mouse pointer stays on the screen and when I try to use the pen the pointer is still on screen and it freezes and the screen turns nearly white. Then in a few seconds, it goes away and shows where I painted. I can paint with this brush but then to change brushes it may do it again. It does not matter what brush but may do with all of them. This is the only thing this happens with. I don't know what the cause may be.

Hi karier13, It seems Rebelle froze for unknown reasons. If Rebelle freezes (app is not responding), restarting Rebelle or your computer might help. If you still experience freezes, reset Rebelle’s settings to default, here's how: 1. Go to Rebelle's top menu: Help > Show Library folder... 2. Locate the Rebelle folder and rename it to any other name 3. Run Rebelle again, you will be asked to register 4. Rebelle opens with the default settings If Rebelle keeps freezing even with the default settings, please follow these steps: 1. Download this archive: https://www.escapemotions.com/products/rebelle/download/Rebelle_freeze_analyzer_Windows_64bit.zip ...and unpack it on your disk. This package works for all Rebelle versions. 2. Keep using Rebelle as before and when it freezes, just run the 'backtrace_attach.bat' from the unpacked folder. You can run the bat file several times (5 should be enough). It generates a new 'backtrace.out' file which you can send us by email to ][email protected] and please, also include: - Rebelle version (go to the Main Menu > About Rebelle, you'll see the version in the upper right corner of the dialog), e.g. "Rebelle 5.0.0 64bit" - a brief description of what you did just before the freeze. 3. You can close Rebelle now. Thanks for all your help with tracking down these bugs!

Hi, I tried what you said and still the same. I did the 5 bat files and emailed them to support a few days ago. I am still having the same issues and it is very frustrating because this is, most of the time, one stroke and it pauses. Another stroke, and maybe 2 if lucky, and pauses again. It makes it so it is not worth even trying. I hope that something can be found that will fix this. I do enjoy using it when it works correctly.

I may have discovered what may be the cause of the brush pausing after nearly every stroke. If the dirty brush is being used it pauses. If not being used, so far anyway, it is not pausing. I don't think this is the way it should be so something is still wrong. But at least I won't use the dirty brush. Multicolor seems to be working ok.

Hi @karier13, Thank you for the files! Unfortunately, we are unable to determine the cause of the freezes from them. Did you reset the Rebelle settings to default just like I mentioned? If not, please try it to see whether it helps. If it doesn't, please download Rebelle 7 trial to see if the same issue happens there, here is the download link: REBELLE WINDOWS Just register the trial using your Community account's credentials.
