Hello !
Posting here because I cant seem to find any answers for this simple problem.
I've been using Rebelle 5 for the first time this past week. It was all good until I've finished my different projects and so it was time to save as PNG and print. But ! When saved, the paintings are just ugly. It looks grainy, greyish, just depressing-looking sice my paintings are vibrant in colors.
I tried saving as PNG, JPEG quality 100%, nanopixel.... nothing works.
Any idea on whats happening ? My painting are 300 DPI, A4 (29x20cm). I use windows.
Here are a comparison between the original (.reb) and the saved image (.png) of the same part of the painting. You can easily see which one is which. I'm thinking of doing a screenshot of the .reb to print it but what a waste of quality....
thank you so much for your help !

Hi @Roxx,
This is probably an issue of different color profiles.
Set the display profile of your monitor to Rebelle's Monitor profile in the Preferences:

Confirm with the OK button, set a New artwork via File menu and import your file, then export - how does it look now?
I believe you can check the color management settings on Windows via 'Settings -> System -> Display'.

Hello !
Thank you for your quick answer. Unfortunately, a new problem emerged : my saved paintings are just white.
I modified the color setting as you said
Then I imported an image (it seems i can only import png or jpeg image right, not .reb ones ?)
Then I saved as jpeg, png, or export a nanopixel. and the resulting image was just a white canva :
I tried the other color settings (asus, srg built-in) and its the same white file.
Can you please help me further ?
thank you,

Hello again,
So, I figured a way out for the white canvas : i have to interact with the canvas in whatever way to make it "register" the current layer (creating a new layer, using a brush a little, etc.). After importing the file, even if the image show, if i immediately save it it does the white canvas thing. What I do is importing the file, interacting with it a little, then save it, and now it shows my painting.
That being said now that this new problem is resolved, my old one isnt. I did as you said, aka modify my color profile etc, but then when i saved it it was still greyish grainy.
Once again a comparison between the .reb and the .png with the color setting srgb ieC6 :

it did change the colors a little and the png and reb are closer than before, but the png is still duller...
Thanks again for your help.

Hello @Roxx , could you please take a screenshot of your color management settings? We are interested in the current color profile and the profile for your monitor, but other part of these settings may help too. Thanks.

I wanted to reduce the size of my sscreenshot to make my post more readable, but in doing so i apparently lost some quality ! Here are the more important one in their original size, hoping you'll see them better :

Thanks @Roxx. Your profile for the monitor in Rebelle is set to sRGB. This is the default and works in most cases. However, if you have a graphics monitor with a wide color gamut, use the same profile for your monitor in Rebelle as you do in Windows. Then, assuming your artwork mentioned above have sRGB profile too, open the artwork and assign the same profile to the artwork as well (for new artwork, this step will no longer be needed). Next, export the image and check if the colors are correct. You may also convert the artwork profile to sRGB as the next step.
Assign color profile: Menu -> Edit -> Assign Profile...
Convert color profile: Menu -> Edit -> Convert to Profile...
To check the color profile for your monitor, search for "color management" via the Windows start menu:

In this dialog.
