As a late diagnosed autistic, I am discovering a great interest in painting. I fell in love with watercolor and I have some paper and paints that I love.
Last year my health began declining... a lot. I got to a point of chronic pain and fadigue that I had to quit my watercolor classes because I couldn't sit for the duration of the class.
I cried.... quite a bit when that happened. But I found a treatment that is helping me a lot. It's still difficult. i still haven't taken my paints out again, because I know the position is still difficult for me.
But now I can sit on my computer for longer. I started using drawing apps. But none of them had the joy that watercolor had.
So I decided to try Rebelle. Shout out to @Graham GrahamX since I am on Linux and his fix helped me use Rebelle with my Wacom tablet.
Its hard to describe the joy I felt when I found the 'wet' icon and used it and them seeing the watercolor spreading around. Its the kind of thing that made me feel in love with watercolor.
I decided to buy it while its on black friday sale. And because of purchase parity, I could pay a fair and reasonable price for it.
At first I wasn't going to purchase it - how could I justify it, since I know myself and I'm only a hobbyst? But them I realized it doesn't matter if I don't ever finish a painting with it, because painting in Rebelle brings me joy, and that's enough.
