Don't know if this is true but I just saw a YouTube video about this. Can Rebelle run on Linux? I'm about to purchase a new laptop. Please advise. Thanks!

It can, yes, though you might need to finagle a few things to get it to work properly. (My understanding is that pen pressure in particular might require some workarounds to get it to function.) The nanosecond that Rebelle supports Linux natively is the nanosecond I kick Microsoft out of my life forever. And MANY digital artists feel the same way. Adobe Suite and Windows will continue to be standard for enterprise, but every single artist I know is trying to divest Adobe and MS from their workflows. I think within 5 years most small studios and solo practitioners will either be on Mac or Linux.

Rebelle is not officially supported on Linux but can be run using Wine, although there is some extra set-up required to get pen pressure working. It sounds like you want to purchase a new laptop and are worried about it not coming with a copy of Windows. Laptop manufacturers are not switching away from pre-installing Windows so you shouldn't worry about that. I think the video you watched likely had a sensationalized title.
