Sharp Impasto lines appearing

Hi, I noticed something that doesn't happen all the time immediately but over some time when painting, and it looks like sudden very sharp lines, higher than the rest of the paint. It only seems to happen when using the Dirty Brush setting and I find it very annoying...I took a screenshot of what I'm talking about...seems to me some kind of glitch. It stops when switching off the Dirty Brush and you can turn it on again and it's okay for a while. Anyone else have this problem? Impasto settings are on 3, so not that high. Hi @Arievanderwijst , Does it happen with all Bristle brushes or just some? Can you disable the Edges for this particular Bristle brush in Brush Creator > Shape&Bristles > Edges Are you still able to reproduce the issue?

Thanks for the advice, at first it seemed to work but after some time it still existed, BTW it's a self customized flat Filbert brush. Example: see the lines appearing after a while, I took the edges off in settings to the left as you can see.

Update: It also happens with another brush now, this is the standard Bristle Soft, but also with the Dirty Brush setting active.

Could it be a texture brush using bristle settings? I had the same issue, I accidentally enabled Bristle in the brush creator, and it caused sharp lines to appear.
Could it be a texture brush using bristle settings?
Thanks for replying and the possibility of what you said, but with the last example I posted I was using the standard Bristle Soft when it happened. Nothing altered at all. But I will experiment with what you proposed, thank you for that!

After a lot of trying and switching around, I could finally capture one occurrence of this error. Though I'm completely at a loss, what actions might have triggered it. After turning 'Dirty Brush' off and on again, it was gone, and I couldn't reproduce it. So it seems to be very erratic, and probably will be difficult to find the cause. Using the 'Bristle Flat', it appeared after a reset (now at factory settings) and looked like in the image below. Note, that at this point 'Edges' was turned off, and the sharp line even occurres on the "wrong" side of the brush: With the same brush at default, but 'Edges' turned on, it should rather look like this:

So I tried the same thing after the new update 8.2.4 and the same thing is still happening...just to explain, it only seems to happen with Dirty Brush activated and that works fine, but then suddenly without anything changed these sharp lines appear, see picture. Of course I can get rid of them, deactivate Dirty Brush and activate it again and it's okay for a while...until it's not. Example:

Hi @Arievanderwijst , We still cannot reproduce this with the default brushes. Please try to send us the custom one you experienced this with, along with the settings.ini file, which you can find under Rebelle's menu: Help > Show Library Folder > Data
