Hello everyone! When you're about to post some issue, PLEASE have a look, if someone else already reported it. Starting new threads about the same (or similar) problems makes the forum so much harder to browse. It also forces EM staff to reply multiple times instead of just once. Most of the time, it's sufficient to check the first page in the [URL='https://www.escapemotions.com/community/forum/news']Latest posts[/URL] category. Thank you!

[/QUOTE] the problem with scaring people into not making a new thread for their issue, is that they're going to start necroing old threads or replying to threads that have nothing to do with their issue.

Well, I don't think it will be easy to put a stop multiple posts on the same topic. ( Although, I actually think that is the job of the forum moderators—not the Forum users—to point things like that out to other users. ) In my opinion, one of the main reasons why there are multiple threads on the same subject here is that many visitors do not post in forums very often. Perhaps a kind of "Forum User Guidelines," placed in a prominent location, may be helpful.

My post was mostly triggered by the recent situation with WinTab mode: when there are already 3 or more threads within a day or two, is it really necessary to start yet another one? Of course, where reports are older and hard to find, the situation is different - I don't expect people to spend hours with searching. Also, older problem reports are often unrelated to the current issues. [/QUOTE] look dude you are not the rule police lol i dont blame the users for posting about that topic without realizing it was the same issue. they had no idea it was the same issue because each person had either a different os, tablet or behavior coming from the same bug. its not their fault. not everyone has time in their day to comb through all the posts and see if their issue is the same or similar. and as someone that has taught older people about pcs, you have to be kind and patient as not all users are tech savy. they may just be learning. this could also be their first time on a forum and getting used to using them isnt user friendly in general. people are going to make mistakes and you cant alienate people by getting upset at them for posting differently than you would like them to. these people are escapemotions customers/supporters and they should be treated with respect.

I was surprised that the forum moderators didn't step in—especially given the many posts on the same topic. In the Blender forum, for instance, these various posts on the same topic would have been merged into a single thread in no time. If someone posts in the wrong section, the thread would be moved to the correct section.

Hi guys, I completely understand your points. It can certainly be frustrating to see the same issue reported by multiple users, especially when the posts appear within hours of each other. In those cases, users can often see that the issue has already been discussed and spend a few minutes checking whether their specific problem has already been reported. Regarding the tablet initialization issue, different users described their symptoms in different ways, so at first, we weren't sure whether everyone was experiencing the same problem. This was made even more challenging because we were unable to reproduce the issue on our end despite testing on multiple computers. As a result, we generally prefer to review separate reports, even when they appear similar, because there is always a chance that they are actually different issues. Of course, when someone adds their experience to an existing thread, that's helpful! Merging threads is something we have considered, but it is not currently implemented. For now, we use the "DUPLICATE" tag to help identify and organize related reports (when not "SOLVED" yet). It's definitely something we'll look into for the future. What tends to be more challenging is when a user posts in a thread that is completely unrelated to their issue. ? That happens more often than you might think, ha. Even so, I like to think of our forum as a friendly space where people can openly share their experiences and approaches. ? And I thank you guys for being a part of it. Shoutout to you for taking the time to reply to other users' posts, whether by offering a solution or simply pointing them in the right direction. We definitely notice and appreciate it!
