Time Sensitive: help! Severe banding in Gradient tool

                    Hi, I'm trying to get a smooth gradient in the background, not stripes. This is urgent for a project I'm on, please help me to fix it? Clearly the gradient I'm using to mask the color fill layer isn't a full smooth band. Help!!

We're working on better gradient transitions for Rebelle's 8.3 update. It should be out by the end of July. 
You may send us your file and we'll see how it looks in our beta version.
