Join Fall Draw This in Your Style Challenge

Leaves are turning gold, evenings are getting darker, and somewhere between the misty woods and the last warm rays of sunshine, something magical is stirring. Draw, paint, or illustrate your own version of the Fall DTIYS prompts and make it yours! We can’t wait to see where your imagination takes you this autumn.

Recreate These Artworks in Your Own Style

Three artists prepared their fall-themed artwork prompts in Rebelle painting software for this challenge. Open any painting software and interpret at least one of the following artworks to get a chance to win creative prizes.

"When the air grows thick and grey, a grieving widow walks among the gardens, the parks and the forests. Dressed in all black, her face hidden behind a black veil. But she has not come to mourn. Wherever she passes, flowers bow their heads, leaves turn yellow, orange, and red, and fall from the trees, crumbling beneath her feet. If you see her, do not greet her with a smile, and don't be afraid. Lower your head, offer your condolences, and let her pass. For if you mistake her silence for an invitation, you will suffer the same fate as everything that was once a bright green."

Foxy Pumpkin by Skyloftwing

After a successful fairy prompt in spring, Skyloftwing continues with another prompt. "For this illustration, as much as I love spooky and the horror themes associated with autumn and Halloween, the feeling of coziness and nature's red hues is what I went for. I kept the fairy theme from the previous challenge to maintain the magic, and drew a melanistic fox to break expectations a bit." Recreate a fairy carving a pumpkin, with a fox friend as a template.

How to Join the Challenge

Choose one of the three artworks above and redraw it in your style. You can redraw various or all three challenge artworks and enter with multiple entries.

Only entries posted on Instagram or Cara with proper tagging will be considered for winning in this challenge. We encourage you to share your art in our Community Gallery and on other social media as well.

General Rules of the Challenge

1. Recreate one of the three prompt artworks in your style and post your artwork on Instagram or Cara using #escapemotionsdtiys and tagging @escapemotions in the picture.
On Instagram, if you tag our account only in the post description, we may not see your entry.

2. Include the prompt artwork in the post in the second position. Tag the original artist.

3. Follow @escapemotions Instagram or Cara account

Entries finished in any digital painting software will be accepted. If you decide to use Rebelle, you can use the Free Trial or the Full version.

The use of AI art generation is not allowed in any way. Please keep in mind that we may request process images or time-lapse recordings of the painting process when evaluating your artwork.
