Great news everybody!

We have put together a small update squashing some minor flaws in the current version of Flame Painter 2.5 including:

• fixed file dialog on Mac OS X
• minor bug fixes
• upgrade to version 3.0 directly from the menu

You can easily download a new version through our Update Page after you register with your Flame Painter 2 registration details. This update is free for all Flame Painter 2 users.

As you might notice, this will be the last update of Flame Painter 2. With huge excitement, we would like to announce some great news: after another amazing year, we are now working hard to bring you the next major upgrade of our beloved software.

We have set a release date for you as well and it is on April 29, 2014.

We are going to present new key features and all the important information in the next blog posts and newsletters starting next week. You can expect the first blog post and newsletter on April 8, in which we will present the biggest and baddest new features of Flame Painter 3. Excited? Because we are :)

Believe us, you do not want to miss a thing.

Enjoy and stay tuned for big news to come!

I would love anti-aliasing, but the upgrade price from standard to pro is just too much.

Is this a paid upgrade? Not an impressive move given v2 came out less than a year ago.

Agreed. If I had known, I would've stuck it out for Flame Painter 3. It's an inconvenience when software companies release paid major version updates so close together.

Time is passing very fast, last major upgrade (v2) came after almost three years, new release (v3) will come after one year (exactly 11 months and 7 days). We have no reason to wait longer, we think we prepared nice things for you. It is not a 3DsMax or Maya upgrade when after a year there is almost nothing new (even I love these software, but why they are releasing every year new upgrades?).
We prepared I believe great new features and a fair price for everyone with a discount for all dedicated users, especially for the first two weeks. We are really happy that we can release the major upgrade few weeks before our plan and even if you buy Flame Painter now, you will not loose the money.

It's April 8, publish that promised blog post :)
v2.x or v3 doesn't matter, it's not that expensive anyway (for my opinion). I will be happy to pay for x64, multi cores and canvas size features.
