It’s been more than one week since the brand-new Rebelle 2 was released! How has it been going for you? :) We’ve been busy doing some ‘maintenance work’ on the latest version.

All changes and bug fixes are wrapped in this freshly-baked Rebelle 2.0.1 update and include:
- Iterative save of other file formats, not only .reb
- Windows 32-bit version released
- fix for Surface tablets: pressure sensitivity, as well as an eraser, now work
- fix: check keyboard shortcuts for duplicities after hitting Reset
- fix: lag when the stencil was selected on the canvas
- fix: crash with backspace shortcut on stencils
- fix: show cursor after saving artwork
- fix: invalidate pre-blended structure after the current layer is moved
- fix: per monitor dpi awareness
- fix: unexpected crashed while painting
- many other minor fixes and changes
If you haven’t downloaded version 2.0.1 yet, go ahead - update is available on our Download page and is free for all Rebelle 2 users.
Rebelle 1 users can upgrade directly through Rebelle 1 menu: “Help” –> “Upgrade to Rebelle 2” or via our Upgrade page. Existing owners of Rebelle 1 are eligible for more than 50% discount - the regular upgrade price is $39.99. Users who purchased Rebelle 1 from March 25th, 2017 to April 25th, 2017 are eligible to upgrade for the price difference between versions, which is $29.99.
Upgrading is optional and the upgrade discount will always be available. You can continue using your Rebelle 1 for as long as you like.
Any feedback you can provide once you use the new Rebelle 2.0.1 version would be greatly appreciated.

Excellent upgrades! Next thing to consider are larger brushes, something large enough to spread background washes, and of course keeping the brush engine fast. Keep up the great work!
Thanks John!
Hey Peter, I upgraded last night but never got the e-mail with the activation key, I forwarded the PayPal receipt to your support address this morning and still haven't heard anything back. Can I please get some help with this?
Sorry for that Alex, our support team will send over your key today, let us know whether you received it this time. Thanks!
Nice brush engine ! Why are there no color correction tools though ?
Hi Mike, we haven't implemented these tools yet, but it is on our todo list :)
Hi Peter,
After upgrade to 2.0.1 Win 10 64 bit, Rebelle crashes on startup, each time showing "Rebelle 2 has stopped working" pop up (v1.5.5 still works, though). Please could you assist.
Thanks
Hi Steve, sorry to hear you are having issues with Rebelle, please send us an email at support [at] escapemotions.com and we'll get back to you asap.
Hey Peter. I was on another blog where Reb 2 release was being discussed and someone mentioned real problems with the PSD import/export function.
There were not a lot of details posted but I suggested that they install the 2.0.1 update if they hadn't already. Haven't heard back.
FTR, I tried a few tests with PSD and things went pretty smoothly. I was actually surprised that text layers got through (though, rasterized, of course). I didn't see anything about PSD stuff on the 2.0.1 announcement here, so I was wondering if that's been reported at all.
But as far as I can see, things are working fine there.
Hi Bob, yes we just got back to Sandra via email, the new version could have helped, so we're curious :) Not much of problems with PSD though, just one curious bug where psd file with white background from PS is opened in Rebelle with black background. Did many test but were not able to reproduce. If you have any tips, we'll appreciate them :)
2.0.1 has not fixed the touch issue on my Dell Inspiron 15 5000 2 in 1. as before, as soon as you touch the screen the menu switches to the blender option automatically and there seems to be no way to prevent this. At present only the mousepad works.
Hi John, just delete the shortcut for Blend tool in File -> Preferences -> Keyboard shortcuts -> Tools.
The blend tool is set to one finger touch by default but if you don't want to use it, it is very easy to delete it :)
Hi Peter. Love the blend tool so didn't want to lose it. Looked in preferences and disabled multitouch tool. This seems to have done the trick. Working fine now thanks.
Awesome! Thank you for addressing the crash issues so soon. This is an amazing art program. Great job!
Thanks Paul!
