Spider-Man Fanart Contest: The Best Entries

A- | A+

We are excited to announce the winner of the Spider-Man Fanart Contest we run on Escape Motions Instagram for the past 10 days! Thank you to all who joined the contest and shared their excitement for our team's success with their audience.

Various entries capturing different characters and spider worlds are a true celebration of Rebelle’s role in the recent Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse movie. Interestingly, most fan art in the contest is portraying the lead female character, Gwen Stacy, and her watercolor world. We are excited to present you with the best entries in the next few lines.

Winning Artwork

The winning artwork and a receiver of US $100 credit to our shop is Ru.Valerio. When thinking about Spider-Man we often imagine a smooth-looking character that is ready to save the world. This artist took advantage of Rebelle’s thick Impasto engine and presents us with rough brush strokes, thick paint, and a beautiful color palette. We loved to see this realistic oil painting look.

Honorable Mentions

Luna and Stefano from Moonpixart entered the contest with two spectacular artworks. The motivation behind entering the contest is the huge fandom of Spider-Man since early childhood. As faithful Rebelle users, they couldn't help but participate in the contest when hearing about Rebelle’s success. The entries are portraits of Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy, using colored pencils and watercolors.

Rebelle Featured Artist Nicola Dunford, on social media known as Dame Deviant, is focusing her art on paying tributes to her favorite movie characters. Her fan art caught our eyes years ago. Naturally, we were excited to see the bright composition, portraying Gwen Stacy from the Spider-Man movies. Discovering the time-lapse video of her painting process brought this artistic experience to another level. Well done!

_dr_phoenix07 captures Spider-man in a battle on Earth 99. This artwork brings back the atmosphere of comic books we used to read years ago. We do not even need speech bubbles to capture the expressions of the characters. The artwork says it all!

Last but not least, we are thrilled to welcome Alissa’s Art among new Rebelle artists. She learned about our painting software from the VFXvoice.com article about the movie and immediately felt the urge to try it out. As an artist who works with different media, she has overcome Rebelle’s learning curve fairly quickly, entering the contest with a wonderful painting of Gwen Stacy and her watercolor world. We can’t wait to see more Rebelle paintings from this talented Japanese artist.

This is just a selection of the Spider-Man fan art we received over the last couple of days. We are presented daily with beautiful artworks created by talented digital artists across the world. Besides our Gallery, you can find their paintings by following our Instagram or a hashtag #madewithrebelle

Stay creative!
